SAP names Ashley McGibbon as New ANZ Channel Leader

Enterprise software provider SAP has named Ashley McGibbon as its new chief partner officer for Australia and New Zealand.

Mark Hettler, who will retire after working for SAP for 17 years, is replaced by McGibbon.

McGibbons formerly held leadership positions at SAP, most recently serving as the business’ general manager of growing markets.

She has also held positions at IBM and research firm Gartner.

Damien Bueno, managing director of SAP ANZ, claimed that the enterprise vendor’s partners are frequently the individuals and groups who work inside of its clients, assuring the success of its strategy and assisting clients in realising value from their cloud journeys.

“They are critical for our customers’ success and our cloud future,” Bueno said.

“With Ashley’s renowned enthusiasm and results-driven approach, we will reimagine our expanding ecosystem relationships, as we progress our cloud strategy in Australia and New Zealand to deliver the needs of our customers,” he added.

Separately, SAP hired Sofiane Ainine to fill the position of executive general manager of the ANZ growth market.

Ainine formerly worked at Oracle in Ireland before joining SAP in 2014 and held the position of head of mid-market for ANZ.

According to Bueno, Ainine will focus on working closely with the reseller community to support mid-sized businesses in ANZ in attaining their business goals through technology.

The technological revolution of today is being led by SAP. SAP, the industry leader in enterprise application software, assists organisations in fending off the negative consequences of complexity, creating fresh chances for innovation and growth, and remaining competitive.

SAP Australia Pty. Ltd has six offices in the Australian cities of Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth. SAP New Zealand Ltd has its offices in Auckland and Wellington respectively.
