IP Telecom, a telecoms provider based in PARK WEST, has completed the acquisition of Centrecom Systems Limited, a significant move in its expansion strategy. As a leading provider of cloud-based voice over internet protocol (VoIP) and unified communications telephony services to businesses throughout Ireland, IP Telecom aims to strengthen its position in the market by integrating Centrecom’s expertise.
Centrecom, established in 2005 and serving clients such as Guinness Storehouse, Diageo, Mad Egg, and Sherry Fitzgerald, specializes in managed Wi-Fi, Voice, and IT solutions. By merging the capabilities of both companies, IP Telecom intends to enhance its service offerings and provide added value to its customer base.
This acquisition follows IP Telecom’s recent receipt of €6 million in investment capital from Development Capital, underscoring its commitment to growth. Shena Brien, CEO of IP Telecom, views the acquisition as a positive step toward achieving the company’s growth objectives for 2024. She emphasized that this move is just one of many planned initiatives aimed at driving expansion.
Founded in 2010 by Shena Brien and Brian Chamberlain, IP Telecom has become a leading provider of innovative business telephony services, serving over 4,000 clients across various sectors.
With a strong customer base including Decathlon, DID Electrical, and Barnardos, the company continues to deliver cutting-edge solutions under the leadership of its co-founders.
Robin Russell, Chief Commercial Officer at IP Telecom, added: “This acquisition not only strengthens our market position but reinforces our dedication to driving innovation and excellence in the telecoms and connectivity sector.”
