Key Background:
Businesses in the South West will soon get help to use technology and grow faster. The Tech Adoption for Growth programme launches with a breakfast event on Thursday, 9 October, offering more than just coffee and pastries.
The programme, fully funded and run by Business West, gives practical support to businesses wanting to use digital technology to improve their performance. Participants can get expert advice, grants, and personalized guidance, making it easier for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) to adopt new technology.
Ben Masheder, Project Manager for Tech Adoption for Growth, explained, “The programme offers businesses practical tools and guides, regional workshops for peer-to-peer learning, and specialist consultancy. Grants are also available to directly support the implementation of new technology.”
Open to businesses in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol, Gloucestershire, North Somerset, South Gloucestershire, and Wiltshire, the programme encourages local companies to explore how technology can help them scale operations and improve overall performance. Interested businesses can learn more and register through the official website.
The launch event, Scale with Technology, is scheduled from 8.00 am to 9.15 am at Bristol Beacon as part of BTF+, a six-day festival celebrating technology, creativity, and culture across the city from 6–11 October.
Ben Masheder emphasized that the breakfast event is designed to be energising and interactive. “It’s not a traditional networking session. Businesses will take part in fast-paced, focused discussions led by tech adoption experts. “The goal is to give useful insights and let attendees share their own experiences and challenges with technology.”
The event invites business owners and leaders to join and learn practical ways to grow their businesses using technology. With direct support and expert guidance, this programme offers a great opportunity for South West businesses to grow, innovate, and succeed in today’s digital world.
