Huawei unveiled its latest flagship laptop, the Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024, in China today, positioning itself once again as a competitor to the MacBook Air with a host of new features.
The new Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024 offers high-resolution OLED displays, powerful Intel Core Ultra processors including the Ultra9-185H and Ultra7-155H models, both equipped with various AI features. Huawei complements these CPUs with its Pangu AI model to enhance the laptop’s AI capabilities. Configurations include options for 16 or 32 GB of RAM and 1 or 2 TB of SSD storage.
Continuing the legacy of its predecessor, the MateBook X Pro 2024 features a 14.2-inch OLED touch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio, boasting a resolution of 3,120 x 2,080 pixels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. With a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and exceptional color accuracy (Delta E < 1), the display delivers stunning visuals.
The laptop is powered by a 70 Wh lithium-polymer battery, supporting fast charging at 140W. Other notable features include a 1080p camera, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, two Thunderbolt 4 ports, and one USB-C port. Despite its robust features, the MateBook X Pro 2024 maintains a slim and lightweight design, weighing only 980 g and measuring 13.5 mm thin.
The Huawei MateBook X Pro 2024 will be available for purchase in China starting April 18, with prices starting at 11,199 yuan (approximately 1,440 euros). However, there is no official announcement yet regarding its global availability, including in Europe.
