Azets Ireland Expands Outsourcing Division, Doubling Workforce Over Next 18 Months

Professional services firm Azets Ireland has announced plans to expand its outsourcing division, which is expected to lead to the doubling of the unit’s current workforce of 20 people over the next 18 months. The company will roll out a range of services, including cloud accounting and bookkeeping, management reporting, payroll services, business process outsourcing, and staff secondments to businesses in Ireland.

The expansion will enable Azets to service existing and new clients in various sectors, such as property development, energy, retail, and professional services. Susan Wylie, Head of Business Services Outsourcing at Azets Ireland, emphasized the increasing need for experienced professionals to navigate complex reporting and payroll requirements, as well as the difficulties businesses face in recruiting trained staff.

“By outsourcing certain accounting and compliance functions and leveraging the most modern cloud-based solutions, business leaders can regain valuable time and focus on growth and innovation,” said Ms. Wylie. She added that this need will only grow with the introduction of pension auto-enrolment in January 2025 and the extension of gender pay gap reporting requirements to employers with 150 or more employees this year and to employers with 50 or more employees in 2025.

Azets has committed to increasing its presence in Ireland and employing 400 people by the end of 2025. Currently, Azets Ireland employs a team of 220 people at its locations in Dublin, Enniscorthy, and Waterford. The expansion of the outsourcing division is a strategic move by the company to meet the growing demand for professional services and support businesses in navigating the increasingly complex regulatory landscape.
